Containd 0.10: Map your inventory on the canvas

I recommend doing a backup before updating.

After the limited Google Play release in March, we kept shipping. The Apple company account is sorted now, and Containd is on the App Store as well. Same app on Android and iOS.

A clearer mapping focus

Containd was always about more than flat lists: your inventory lives on a canvas you can shape yourself. Recent updates push that further. You can draw and edit the background inline, place floor-plan and landscape symbols, and switch between working on items and working on the map underneath.

Inline SVG editor

Edit the canvas background directly on the Containd tab. Switch into background edit mode, use the built-in SVG tools, and refine layouts without leaving the canvas. Item mode and background mode stay separate so gestures do not fight each other.

Mapping elements

The symbol panel includes floor-plan and landscape elements for rooms, buildings, outdoor layouts, and similar maps. Use them to sketch where things are, not only what you own.

Item viewer improvements

Recent builds also improve browsing: categories, overview, photos, and a smoother full-screen item view with swipe between items. CSV export and import for lists is in the app.

Before bigger updates

Later releases change the local database for sync and new features. Make a backup under Settings → Backup & Restore before you update, especially with a large library.

Online Credits

The credit system for AI features is live. Check User Settings for redeem codes, or visit https://www.containd.app. The GOINGLIVE code from March may no longer work. But feel free to reach out and I’d be happy to give you some credits to work with.

Feedback is still welcome. The app is under active development.
